Up and running in 4 steps

Install Docker
Local Run starts MongoDB, Redis and your databases in Docker. Any Docker with Compose v2 works:

Install the app
Open API-Maker-Local-Run-1.0.0-macos-universal.dmg and drag API Maker Local Run to Applications.

Open it
macOS may block the first launch. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. On macOS 14 and earlier, right-click the app and choose Open. You only do this once.

Pick a folder and press Start
Choose an empty folder, a project name and the API Maker version. Local Run installs API Maker, starts MongoDB and Redis, then shows you the admin panel URL and sign-in details.
